Every summer, we plan our family trip. My wife and I make all the arrangements. We pack everything into our RV except camping gears. We don't camp. We've been to most of the National Parks around Western half of the United States. We visited capitals of 12 states. Farthest we drove was to Vancouver, Canada and to Mt. Rushmore, S. Dakota. We have also visited Japan during our summer vacation few times. In 2002, we visited New York City and stood at the ground zero. It was a very emotional moment for our family as we stood and prayed for all those who died during the September 11 tragedy. Year 2003, we visited Cabo San Lucas, the most southern tip of Baja Peninsula. We saw some beautiful marine life there. |

Been writing Haiku in Japanese off and on for two years. I am a member of Haiku Headlines. This is a monthly news letter where Haiku lovers enjoy corresponding and sharing haiku experience and poems written in English. The editor-publisher is David Priebe and its headquarter is located in Los Angeles. Also I recently joined two Haiku Associations. In these associations the Haiku is expressed only in Japanese. One association named "Kitagochi" is located in Sendai, Japan and lead by Kashiwabara Minwu(眠雨:Sleeping Rain). The association also publishes a monthly magazine. Another association called "Hototogisu" is taught and edited by Hirata Nuiko in Los Angeles. |

I like to take pictures
to treasure the memories of the daily living, family gatherings, the family
trips and my ceramics work. Over the years, I have used many cameras
but currently I truly enjoy using the Canon EOS ELAN II E and Canon Power
Shot G2 for all my photography. |

A history of Japanese
sword has been developed over thousand years since Heian period (AC782).
It originally started out as a practical weapon but it is now an
expensive treasurer and an art for the collectors. There are five
traditional style according to the period and the area such as Yamashiro,
Yamato, Bizen, Soshu and Mino. I've been learning not only Japanese history
but also spirit, religion, philosophy, life, moral principle, the path
of human duty by studying just one sword blade that tells us many factors.
The swords are beautiful and they purify our soul. |
